Supreme State Security Court sends papers of Hamam elKamouni to Egypt's grand mufti.
Coptic News Bulletin in an audio interview with human rights activist Fathy Farid who said that today's verdict was for the first defendant Hamam elKamouni by sending his papers to the Grand Mufti to decide upon the verdict of his death sentence and that the court postponed its verdict against the two other accused men to February 20, until the receipt of the report of the Grand Mufti of Egypt and until the verdict is complete for pronunciation.
When asked why verdicts for all defendants, were not pronounced today, he said that it was a legal problem, because the judge cannot pronounce the verdict in two parts, it must be in one part in one session; when papers for one of the accused is referred to the Mufti, he gives a report and an assessment of the incident and is to approve or not approve the death sentence, it should be back again saying that the Board unanimously approved and the laws upon which the judge based his verdict for all of the accused, to be pronounced in one sentencing
